Powerboat Courses Algarve
The RYA powerboat Scheme courses are primarily for those wishing to using open powered craft such as RIBs or sports boats.
They are also designed for the professional open boat skipper who is required to prove their competence or provide certification for work.
RYA Powerboat Level 1
Age 8 years (under 16 endorsed certificate)+A one-day introduction giving a basic understanding of powerboating. It covers safety equipment, launching/recovering the boat, use of a kill chord, and basic boat handling skills like starting, stopping, and coming alongside.

RYA Powerboat Level 2
Age 12 years (under 16 endorsed certificate)+Ideal for casual weekend users and commercial users, this course covers close quarters handling, launching, safety, knots, high and low-speed handling, man overboard recovery, anchoring, and basic navigation and trip planning.
